On 15–24 October 2025, Prof. Andrzej Polus and Prof. Renata Duda were conducting a research visit in Addis Ababa (Ethiopia) as part of the National Science Centre (NCN) project “EU–Africa Relations Beyond the Rhetoric of the Partnership of Equals”.

On 20 October, both researchers participated in a meeting organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Addis Ababa, hosted by H.E. Ambassador Ilona Korchut. The event gathered representatives of the embassies of the EU Member States and the African Union.

During the meeting, Prof. Duda and Prof. Polus presented the main assumptions of the research project. They discussed preliminary findings on the relationship between the European Union and African states, as well as prospects for future EU–Africa cooperation.
