We invite you to an open lecture, seminar, and art exhibition with Prof. Olha Lukovska, visiting the University of Wrocław as part of the Visiting Professors program under the IDUB initiative.

Prof. Olha Lukovska is the Deputy Director for Artistic and Scientific Affairs at the Lviv Palace of Arts. She holds a degree in the field of history and theory of art. She is a professor at the Ukrainian Academy of Printing and a member of the Ukrainian Association of Art Historians and Critics and the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. Her research focuses on cultural management and the history of contemporary art. She is the author of over 100 academic articles, art reviews in Ukraine and abroad, and two monographs on artistic textiles. She has curated and participated in numerous international projects, art events, and workshops. She has led many creative projects in Poland. Additionally, she is an active artist, working in artistic textiles, with solo exhibitions in Ukraine, Poland, France, and Japan.

On October 15, 2024, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, Prof. Olha Lukovska will lead a seminar discussion in room 201 titled The Power of Artistic Expression in Times of War.

On October 17, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:15 PM, an open lecture titled “Soft Power in Times of War: Artistic Perception of the Battlefield” will be held in the lobby of the Institute of International and Security Studies (2nd floor). This will be followed by the opening of an exhibition of drawings by Oleksiy Kosatyy titled Frontline sketches.
