The Erasmus Mundus Global Studies Winter School 2024, an annual international event, was held from December 5th to 9th. This year’s edition was hosted by the University of Vienna. Representing the University of Wrocław were Dr. Marek Musioł and Dr. Tomasz Waśkiel from the Institute of International and Security Studies.

The event, designed for students of the European Master in Global Studies program, gathered over 100 participants, including students and academic staff from five partner universities: Ghent University, the University of Leipzig, Roskilde University, the University of Vienna, and the University of Wrocław.
One of the thematic workshops, titled Regionalism in the Eurasian Area: Analyzing Intergovernmental Structures, was conducted by Dr. Tomasz Waśkiel. Meanwhile, Dr. Marek Musioł participated in the consortium board meeting, a student representatives’ evaluation session, and program coordinators’ workshops. He also led a session titled Introduction to Global Studies in Wrocław for prospective students of the University of Wrocław within the European Master in Global Studies program.
The European Master in Global Studies is an international joint-degree program established in 2005 by the European Master in Global Studies consortium to provide high-quality education in global studies. The University of Wrocław participates in this program as part of a partnership with universities both within and outside Europe, including institutions in Leipzig (executive secretariat), Vienna, Roskilde, Ghent, as well as universities in Santa Barbara, Otago, Fudan, Dalhousie, Stellenbosch, Yaoundé, Addis Ababa, New Delhi, and Sydney.
