The theme of multiculturalism in Wrocław accompanied the study tour organized as part of the project Roots & Routes by GlobaLENS: Regional Branding & Cultural Connections. The project is funded through extracurricular educational initiatives. It is addressed to students of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław who wish to take a broader look at the place where they live and study.
During a walk through the city, students of International Relations, European Diplomacy, and the English-language Global Studies program had the opportunity to explore Wrocław through the lens of its cultural diversity, heritage, and promotional potential.
Guided by city tour leader Beata Wers, they discovered lesser-known places and stories that help shape the city’s identity. Together, they reflected on how Wrocław — a city with many roots — can be promoted internationally and how its cultural mosaic can become an asset in building the region’s brand.
The project supervisor is Dr hab. Marta Ryniejska-Kiełdanowicz, a Professor at the University of Wrocław. Dr hab. Magdalena Ratajczak, also a Professor at the University of Wrocław, organised the event.
