The Institute of International and Security Studies at the University of Wrocław cordially invites you to the international scientific conference “Crisis Management for Ukraine: Way to Sustainable Development of Eastern Europe”, which will take place on October 24, 2025, at the Institute’s premises (Koszarowa 3, Room 108, Wrocław).

The conference is held within the project “Implementation of the Best Practices for Crisis Management in Ukraine”, supported by the International Visegrad Fund and co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia. The project aims to compare crisis management systems in Poland, Slovakia, and Czechia, and to develop a model for implementing best practices in Ukraine.

Originally planned to take place in Lviv, the conference was moved to Wrocław due to the ongoing martial law in Ukraine. The event will bring together experts and academics from Poland, Ukraine, Czechia, and Slovakia to discuss institutional resilience, crisis response mechanisms, and sustainable development in the context of war.

Topics include:

  • the organization of crisis management in Ukraine,
  • local government and public safety during wartime,
  • strategic communication and circular economy in recovery,
  • psychological and institutional resilience.
