On 10 March 2026, students of the Institute of International and Security Studies participated in two guest lectures delivered by Dr Labinot Hajdari and Dr Judita Krasniqi from the Public International Business College Mitrovica (IBCM) in Kosovo.
Dr Labinot Hajdari delivered a lecture entitled “Education Diplomacy as a Tool of Peacebuilding and Reconciliation.” The presentation focused on the role of education as an instrument of soft power, highlighting the importance of academic exchanges and international summer schools. Particular attention was given to the case study of the Kosovo Summer Academy, presented as an initiative that brings together students from different ethnic groups. The lecture also discussed IBCM’s activities as a good practice example of a multiethnic public higher education institution.

Dr Judita Krasniqi presented a lecture titled “Women as Agents of Reconciliation: Female Political Leadership and Peacebuilding in Kosovo.” Her presentation examined the role of women as active political and social actors in the post-conflict reconciliation and peacebuilding processes in Kosovo.

The lectures were organised as part of the courses “Ethnic Problems and Conflicts” and “Balkans in International Relations.” The visit and the lectures were made possible thanks to the Erasmus+ KA171 programme, which supports the development of academic cooperation and the exchange of experience between partner universities.
