The Erasmus+ continues the Sokrates-Erasmus program, later renamed LLP-Erasmus (Lifelong Learning Program). The Institute of International and Security Studies joined this program in 1998 and has signed over 50 bilateral agreements with universities from virtually all EU countries, including Norway, Switzerland, and Turkey. Since the start of the program, nearly 600 students from the Institute of International and Security Studies have been offered an opportunity to study abroad. The Erasmus+ program is aimed at BA, MA, and PhD students who may spend one or two semesters in a selected European university. Successful nominees are granted financial support from the University of Wroclaw for the maximum duration of one semester.
